the web page of Crowell Memorial Home. Crowell in the oldest provider of
health care in Washington County. Founded in 1905, the Home provides
compassionate Christian care for seniors. A continuum of care is
provided by having: 8 independent care apartments, 23 assisted living
apartments, a secure Alzheimer's unit with 21 beds, with the remaining
75 nursing beds consisting of light to skilled nursing care and includes
a distinct Medicare unit. The majority of our nursing home
accommodations are private rooms, providing the privacy so important to
our residents. Full-time, Physical, Occupational, and Speech therapies
are provided on-site to help residents maintain the highest level of
independence possible. The assisted living facility was completed in
August 2001, and provides apartment living to residents who don't require a nursing
facility, but still like having assistance with housekeeping, dining and
other activities of daily living. A full-time Chaplain and an activities
staff of four keep residents busy. Church services, Bible studies,
sing-along, bingo, movies and crafts are just a few activities provided
for our residents. Transportation is no problem with both a van and bus
providing opportunities for shopping and outings as well as to medical
appointments. The grounds and building are well maintained in this
modern state of the art facility. However, the secret to quality care
will always be the people. Almost one half of the Homes staff have been
employed by Crowell five years or longer. The department heads and
administration are long term employees and it shows. Why not come and
